Didn't really wanna get into this mess but I came in to say this:

 

Yeah it would be great if she slayed with sales but for me personally I really, truly don't give a fuck about sales. I love when the artists I stan have high sales but they don't matter to me.

 

I don't know the sales of any singles the artists I stan have released dead2

 

I only know a few albums sales but I'm not sure I know them for sure fall4

 

So many incredible albums don't have high sales due to the mostly-failing (excluding the likes of Adele and Taylor Swift) Industry or lack of exposure or other factors.

 

Look at Natalia Kills. Perfectionist and more specifically Trouble are incredible albums and have really shitty sales mainly due to under exposure.

 

Take Madonna and Xtina. MDNA and Bionic are amazing albums as well. Bionic is my fave Xtina album and it tanked. MDNA has so many incredible tracks on it.

 

So for me sales really don't matter much at all.

 

Gonna leave this messy ass thread now.

it's more about those who tried to drag PRISM for selling less than 300k.

I honestly don't think pop gurls are as big IRL anymore. It's surprising how many people outside of these spheres think of pop today as just "something to jam to every now and again". It seems they aren't here for full albums.

I'm gonna admit one thing (even though I anticipated this album wouldn't do well): Gaga needs someone who knows how to link all of these ideas together in a cogent package that doesn't seem so disjoint. I think if a lot more people knew what the fuck reverse-Warholianism was and how this was reflected in the body of work, it'd do better.

 

It wouldn't be necessarily generic; Orbit did it for Madge in the 90s and kept it sounding very fresh.
