We call it a lead in England, which is where the English language originated from, so ... sass1

Actually it was originated in Germany and Netherlands regions, then after they invaded England way back when, you guys were introduced to the language.

Just a little history lesson sass1

lol what kind of school did you attend? did it have a roof and tables?

being a borrowed language does not make it a german language. english is english. that's like saying that because there are latin words in the english language that means that i can speak latin.

@Michael Maybe you should now question where you went to school. According to the BRITISH Encyclopedia, the very first paragraph tells you all you need to know. Ur welcome for this brand new information.

I'm literally dying @ how riled up you are. I had no idea you were taking this so seriously and that it affected you. ny7.gif' alt='ny6'>

Once again, I will reiterate - the country that the language is derived from is not the country of origin. That's not how it works. Regardless of where words came from, the English language is from England. It has grown over the years, mainly influenced by Shakespearean times but has developed and became more modern as time has passed.

Ur wrong.

btw "derived" means "from a specific source" so hope you read the receipt I gave. Clearly you haven't yet.

Ur talking about the development of the language now, when ur first post said it was ORIGINATED. Just give up and learn something. Talk what you know and stick to that unless you can be arsed to know what ur talking about first, child.

Oh dear, you still aren't quite getting it. WORDS originate from other countries, NOT THE LANGUAGE ITSELF.

Words in the English language were taken from other languages such as German and Latin, however the language originated in medieval England. Individual words and an entire language are two very different things. If you dispute that, you are simply wrong and any bullshit article you find on the internet that says otherwise is also wrong.

Now if you could stick to the topic of the thread, Amanda Bynes, that would be great thanks :)
