Do you have any favourite short stories? I'm still reading a lot of Lovecraft stuff, but as for books I am also reading Foundation by Isaac Asimov oprah15

I haven’t actually read many short stories oprah15 but I did recently get a book of Greek Myths where they’re written in a format close to George R.R. Martin (the description said that fans of A Song of Ice & Fire would enjoy the book). The authors run a YouTube channel that I watch where they discuss Greek myths so I’m excited to read it

Think we've discussed this before but I was a huge fan of Greek mythology when I was a kid oprah15 George R.R. Martin, he writes in a swapping first person narrative, doesn't he (at least with his Game of Thrones books)? It's written like that or is just the scale/tone like GoT?

We probably have because I love Greek mythology. oprah15 It seems to be referencing just the scale/tone, with the different myths being in a short story format. I think I’ve mentioned it to you, but I also have Cirse which is based on The Odyssey that I’m gonna read too. jj2

Have you ever heard of The Dying Earth? That series was very influential on GRRM.
