"1989" has sold almost 1 million copies OUTSIDE of the US!

brit14  I thought it would've done that a long time ago bummer1

These are not her total album sales, just the copies sold outside of the US which means that "1989" has now sold 2,6 - 3 million copies ww just one month after its release.

But in comparison to albums like Prism, Bangerz, Britney Jean, Beyonce, Unapologetic and ARTPOP she's actually doing really well outside of the US.

I don't know the numbers for those albums (I imagine Beyonce did much better WW though)

I just don't get why her numbers are so small (comparatively) outside the US, she is huge at the moment

if you don't know their numbers then stop with your bull all over this thread. 1989 is doing much better than those albums did at the time of their release.

@DanKing2604 you are such a blatant troll, reported.

Keep your wig on darling, I said comparatively because I know 1989 is selling way more, I'm just shocked that it's selling such a small percentage of it's overall amount outside the US especially this time because her singles have been doing well everywhere

@Gabe. Because I've got nothing better to do today I checked the numbers for you, here are all the releases mentioned by Royalty and their first week sales split by US/WW numbers

ARTPOP - 553,000 overall (258,000 US/295,000 elsewhere) - 46% of sales from US

BANGERZ - 399,000 overall (270,000 US/129,000 elsewhere) - 67% of sales from US

Beyonce - 746,000 overall (617,213 US/128,787 elsewhere) - 82% of sales from US

Britney Jean - 218,000 overall (107,000 US/111,000 elsewhere) - 49% of sales from US

Prism - 453,000 overall (286,000 US/167,000 elsewhere) - 63% of sales from US

Unapologetic - 492,000 overall (238,000 US/254,000 elsewhere) - 48% of sales from US

And here are Taylor's last two albums:

Red - 1,459,000 overall (1,210,000 US/249,000 elsewhere) - 82% of sales from US

1989 - 1,681,000 overall (1,287,000 US/394,000 elsewhere) - 76% of sales from US

I like 1989 and Taylor and I'm pleased it's selling so well but please learn to read people's comments before coming for them, I said Taylor's sales outside the US are a fraction in comparison to her US sales and as you can see, they are.

It's true that she sells A LOT in the US. But the thing is, she still sold more than the other albums even outside the US, it's just her US sales that are colossal and hard to keep up with. It has always been like this for her. :)

She's not local just because she sells the most in the US. She's definitely worldwide, just not as huge as she is in the US.
