Spike TV is looking to Christina Aguilera for its next game show.

The Viacom-owned cable network home to Lip Sync Battle has ordered music trivia game show Tracks to series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Tracks, which will debut later this year as a half-hour special, is described as an innovative musical game show where teams of two attempt to name a song title just by listening to its individual tracks -- like guitar, bass, vocals, etc. Tracks, like Lip Sync Battle, will feature surprise celebrity musical guests performing tracks that could either be their own or someone else's. An episode count has not yet been determined.

The series will be exec produced by Aguilera and her MC Productions founder (and fiancee) Matthew Rutler (MasterClass), Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith (Hollywood Game Night) along with Mission Control Media and Lionsgate Television. Neal Tabachnick and Michael Aubrey, who developed the series, will co-exec produce for Mission Control. Spike TV exec vp original series Sharon Levy, senior vp originals Chachi Senior and Tori Socha will oversee for the cabler. Lionsgate exec vp alternative Jennifer O'Connell and vp television Brian Tannenbaum will oversee for the studio.

A host has not yet been determined.

“Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track — with a twist — since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song," Aguilera said. “I’m excited to have Tracks debuting on Spike TV, and proud to have this as the first project springing from our first-look deal with Lionsgate."

Tracks marks the latest music-themed TV foray for Aguilera, who previously appeared on Lip Sync Battle with Hayden Panettiere. In addition to serving as a coach on NBC's The Voice, the multiple Grammy winner has guest-starred on ABC's country music drama Nashville and is developing scripted music drama Hearts and Clubs for Freeform (formerly ABC Family), among others. She's repped by CAA.

For Lionsgate TV, meanwhile, Tracks comes as the independent studio has put a new focus on unscripted fare -- which has included signing multiple producers to overall deals. Tracks becomes its latest unscripted fare following Fox's survival competition entry, Kicking and Screaming.

At Spike, Tracks comes as the cabler continues to look to musical game shows to bolster its success following the breakout ratings and social media success of its Jimmy Fallon-produced Lip Sync Battle. The series landed at Spike after NBC passed on picking up the Tonight Show segment-turned-game show. Spike also recently announced plans for an incarnation of James Corden's wildly successful Carpool Karaoke, with The Office's Craig Robinson hosting Caraoke Showdown. That series will debut later this year as a special, similar to the rollout strategy for Tracks. CBS also recently announced a special with Corden, who is shopping his own series based on the karaoke-themed Late Late Show segment.

Sis, she's all about that cash now orangu1

All we have left is hope that she's not just talking into air about music being important to her and wanting to deliver with her next album.

Isn't exec's role investing money? It shouldn't keep her busy.

You guys should be happy that she's still relevant after 2 flops. She at least will not fade away and that's crucial in the music industry to not fade away completely. I say this as a fan. She' will real de music whenever she wants to
