Her team needs to get it during the release of the next album. Release a solid bop, bank on her status as a critics darling and release the thing on a single date.

 

The Japan release and the single choice of I Really Like You kinda killed the stage for Emotion. I Really Like You heavily relied on the gimmickry in hopes of achieving something similar to Call Me Maybe.

Yes, CRJ is a global artist now. The staggered release thing doesn't make sense for her. She can still spend time in Japan to promote it, just not exclusively.

She wanted RAWM as lead single, but they wanted IRLY as a bridge from KISS. The execution wasn't the best, but it worked for Japan and UK.

she worked so hard, touring radio stations, doing festivals, but it wasn't until the critics started to take notice at year-end that she was something special, it was too late. 

Tonight, she's in Winnipeg performing at David Foster's Annual Charity Gala. I hope it leads to work with David, he did wonders for Céline and Whitney...

I think she's in a comfortable place. Her Polaris performance was the talk of the night. She's maturing and Interscope/School Boy better move with that.

I'm still waiting for some hints that her album is done. I think she is close. Besides, Lady Gaga is all Interscope is promoting at the moment, all the other girls need to step a side.
