I loved it and loved the message behind and how it had several symbolisms and layers to it.

They were entertainment puppets made to sing about freedom (referring to all those self acceptance/freedom dime a dozen songs) when they were actually still under control.  They escape, but they never go far away ... like they can never actually get away from the people controlling them. 

 

The disney xtina/britney similarities are no coincidence.
