At least give it a week before we judge. I mean, they waited 5 months before releasing Birthday because Dark Horse slayed so much. If they waited any longer, Dark Horse would have been the current single for half a year Birthday, in reality, should have been released when Dark Horse fell out the Top 10. They should have waited until May.

Both are the current singles from two of the three biggest pop girls :shrug: They were both released close to each other, so just giving a comparison on if Katy is actually flopping or not.

I want her to ditch this shit pop and do something like her pre-fame days, but I can dream

Also on the WW iTunes chart, Birthday is #71 while G.U.Y is at #229 Katy's doing great for just four days after it was released.

I hate Birthday, but tbh it's only been on radio for four days, and has been climbing since then. Plus, Katy has to try and beat Dark Horse. She's battling herself at this point.

No one can clearly hear anything since Myah was hired because she has a voice so similar to Britney, often Myah demos are mistaken for Britney and Britney demo's people pass off as just Myah. So no, it's not clear. Unbroken leaked a few weeks ago, and everyone said that was Myah until it was confirmed to be Britney.

Miles Away shouldn't be so low, and Don't Tell Me should have been Top 10. Those are her strongest single moments imo.

It makes sense. A throwback album on Vinyl would be awesome. Even I want it.

Also, just because they weren't sent Britney's vocals for the chorus and bridge, doesn't mean those stems don't exist. I mean lots of times stems leak and you don't get the all the vocal stems. Lady Gaga's "Monster" comes to mind. So basically they are saying they were sent the stems, but they only had vocals for Myah, but not Britney, so they are assuming Britney didn't sing it? It's not solid proof I guess.

She most likely sang the song, and the producer ended up choosing the other vocals instead. Do you really think Britney would purposely let someone else sing her song? Especially when every producer has said she's extremely serious in the studio. Still disappointed though.

Not as basic as what Madonna has fallen tbh. Kylie and Madonna both went basic-ish and took less risks musically in 2007/2008 because it Youth were dominating music much less than adults. After the confessions & Showgirl tours, both realized where the cash lies. Kylie's tour had more production with the whole fountains etc. than her entire album, and Madonna certainly knew where they money was at after Sticky and Sweet. People know who Kylie is in the US. Her tours sell out there now. The problem is Kylie's US breakthrough was in 2002, much later than her peak in fame.
