  1. All I'm saying is, it looks fine but I'm tired of artists being "bullied" to change aspects of their artistry. The original one was a bit dodgy with its editing but it fit better. The new one is just a pretty picture which looks like Dancing's Done if it's an image instead of a song, but it's definitely not suited for the entire album.
  2. Did I have to change my name...again?

    No.

    But I did it anyway.

Ho-oh is a Japanese version of the phoenix myth, in case you didn't know. It's based on the Chinese phoenix myth though, so it's different from both the Egyptian and Indian phoenix mythologies that are more known to the Western world through Grecian retellings.

I had no idea Egyptian and Indian mythology had phoenixes. Never thought I’d learn that from a pop forum.

@Lynk That's literally the tale of the rebirthing phoenix, sis. It's from Egypt but told by Plato or someone else from ancient Greece. It's also assumed to have been based on the legend of Garuda from the Hindu religion.

  3. But, hear me out, that cover's not better than the original one. I get that she's somewhat doing an Ariel the little mermaid cosplay and that it's camp, but the blue aqua color which now dominates the image doesn't match the album's soundscapes. Yes, I've listened to the, you know, leaks and I feel bad about it but at least I know for sure that the original cover is the most suited for it. Fun fact, if you open the new cover through the linked website, the url states "DancingsDoneCover-3" so maybe it's a single cover for Dancing's Done that got repurposed for a new album cover?
  4. I love Spirit in the Dark. Such a great album. Aretha's voice was so crystal clear on this one. Her composition are also pretty brilliant, from the titular track to Try Matty's, so excellent!

  5. Chromatica sucked ass. She's lucky Rain On Me was a hit. The only actually great songs on it are Free Woman and Replay. Other songs were produced like demos, which alright if that's what they (Gaga and Bloodpop) were going for a.k.a. minimalist approach, but it doesn't mean that it didn't suck badly. Not to mention the fact that it basically promoted homophobia, disability intolerance, capitalism masquerade as communism, etc. Truly a stain in her discography. The tour I heard was great; congrats to ha I guess.
  6. List all of the things that you don't like. I'll start with: 1. Homophobia 2. Homophobic people 3. Homophobic straight people 4. Homophobic gays (internalized homophobia) 5. Chromatica What's yours? 😊
  7. Sometimes, when I remembered the many times Xtina had defended Bionic as if it's her own The Dreaming (the legendary Kate Bush album, in case you don't know) I really want to bury myself alive. Like now. I'm remembering it currently. 😔

  8. Listening to Blackout. Truly a great album. Objectively Britney's best musical work to this date. I hope she can revisit and rejuvenate that sound for a new album. Slinkier, sleeker and sassier. I know that previously we all wanted a folk/rock album from her, but what she really needs is electro minimalist pop not unlike Glory. It's just that, to me there was so much emphasis on Glory being her In the Zone 2.0 (it wasn't really) that today it just sounds a bit uninteresting. I know, Do You Wanna Come Over? is quirky and fun and interesting, but the brief late beat drop to the near final "whatever you want!" crowd chant will always throw me off. It should've been a microsecond quicker! brit12

  9. I could argue that once the parents realized who it was, they didn't have any other choices but to stan. However, she might have first approached and snatched le petit bébé unexpectedly. Again, probably because she's Britney Spears so they didn't freak out that much. I can kind of agree with all this, but also knowing that her going to therapy by her own terms may further online discussion with all of the conspiracy theories about her mental health, Idk.
  10. A lot of things that I've seen from that nation are horrible things. Truly the epitome of madness. I pray for the day in which people can massively see LGBTQ people aren't synonymous with spawns on satan, because if we want to be honest, we could actually apply that mentality to every single straight person on Earth considering the many abuse, rape, theft, corruption and other crimes typically done by straight people. Which is ridiculous and that's why we never did that to them, but between us and them it's clear that the straights are the ones who possess no functioning mind.
  11. Yes, I still got no job. Applied to many, still don't get any. Am I bothered by this? Yes, but I also understand that my qualifications for any jobs are minuscule still. Am I working on improving that lack of skills whatsoever? No, I don't. Yes, I am confusing. Stream All I Want for Christmas Is You (read: a job) for... Spoiler

It's good to have you and your chaotic status updates back.

  12. Yes, Britney's posts on Instagram are worrisome. No, none of us shall act like we know better ways to deal with her businesses. We have our own, let's focus on each of ours only. I know that this statement reads like a liberal capitalist manifesto or whatever, well, maybe it is! I still don't like Elon Musk or any billionaires!!! 🙅🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🧜🏼‍♂️💕

  13. Kids seeing drag shows isn't grooming, USA. Telling them that they are going to be husband and wife to each other while they were still little, however, is! And that's done by straight people, as far as I am aware of. Stop being little bitches just to promote the killing of queer people; you simply don't want to see us exist. moo10

  14. It may not sound the best, and Killers Who Are Partying is a bit oof, but the bulk of the album is discussing real world topics at least of the time it was created. It's not just about love and heartbreak, which is most of Taylor's songwriting is about. This doesn't mean that La Swift is unstannable, even though I think her further madness regarding physical releases which surpass any K-Pop corporate releases is truly terrible, but she just isn't all that. To. Me.
  15. It's my least listened Taylor album. It's a good album but I feel that it's catered to her fans exclusively. A lot of songs here have been done better before by her and at this point I have no interest in her stuff anymore.
  16. She is a good artist. I mean, she makes good music. I don't stan her, never that. I also love folklore and have a special place for 1989 in my heart. However, that's not enough to make me a stan. I do believe that she's overrated by many simply because she sells a shitload of records and breaking them left 'n right and it's not wrong to assume that some people just "stan" her because she's the biggest female artist, if not the biggest artist, in the current world. She isn't musically varied, that's true. No she doesn't need to make metal records to be considered a varied type of artist. She is
  17. I regret debating with that one Marvin Gaye stan all those years ago. I regret wasting my time doing that. Sigh...they really didn't deserve my presence. brit1

  18. I understand stanism. I understand loving your fave's works so much that they could never be or do wrong in your eyes. But, honey, Positions is not Ariana's best album. Maybe if she maintains that relaxed vibe or mood but coupled it with an actual concept that's larger than what she usually delivered, she's going to finally have an album worth the Positions hype. Right now, her best album is Thank U, Next and I'm convinced that's it. Anyway, cry harder Navy, maybe one day Rihanna will release that goddamn album. If she ever goes broke!...which means, never! rih14

  19. The Loneliest Time is a good album. There's plenty of truly great songs, but it's definitely an amalgamation of all her albums for better or worse. I just know that Anthony Fantano will overhype it. Oh, and by the way, what the fuck happened with Shooting Star? That is one song that I refuse to play again. The sonic experimentation does not work at all.

  20. What was I thinking when I thought Lotus was better than Bionic? I must've been KO'd on the head. jodie2

But to be real, Bionic is really too messy to be an actually great masterpiece despite the quality of its songs. It really needs a tweak or two. ellie1

  21. You know, we can just rename our topic/thread if there's something new coming under the same subject, right? Like, if it's the same thing about Carly Rae Jepsen's The Loneliest Time or Taylor Swift's Midnights, a thread maker can just rename the first thread they made for each to fit each new situations that's happening to each albums. There's really no need for three threads discussing different but related topics. Or just post them on the new albums thread.

  22. Wait, Reverie sounds pussy af. Basically means daydream. Imagine the stan war between the Icons and Lambs of the time had it been called Reverie, though. *visibly shudders*
  23. Growing up is fully realizing that Lotus is a better album than Bionic. hottie1

Lotus Intro alone destroys the entirety of Bionic. Godtina really did THAT! Mental elevation! Next level shit! alex1alex1alex1

I mean technically Bionic still has much better songs but as an album? Lotus is consistent! Bionic is found dead with its M.I.A. and Santigold wannabe wigs detached, ripped apart actually! alex1
