nothing much happening with me except that I tested positive of Covid 2 weeks ago and have been in quarantine. About to take my second test next week, hoping for negative result. Covid sucks but the quarantine is much worse

Ugh, that sucks. I hope your symptoms weren't too bad. My mother and aunt got the Pfizer vaccine already (they work in healthcare). As a young, healthy adult I'm the last in line, so I'm not expecting to get it until summer. I just want this whole thing to end already.

Are you under graduate or graduate?  I have one more semester of my under graduate program and then I have to worry about finding a job and thinking if I want to follow a graduate program as well 

Last years are always a nightmare. I'm burned out

I'm finishing my MA in Translation and Interpreting. We'll see if I manage to find a job in my profession, or I'll just get a regular office job of answering e-mails. Either way I'm excited to finally be financially independent.

Ugh, I know. I'm so tired all the time. The second time around doesn't get easier either. But it's probably still easier to be a student than do 9 to 5 for 40 years.

Yes my symptoms weren’t bad, only losing smells etc.

What type of vaccine that you’re getting? We only have one option which is Sinovac which is made in China which is idk if it effective or not.

But I read somewhere if you already had covid you don’t have to take the vaccine.

Well, idk yet. The government is handling it really badly, so idek what will be available by then. But so far there's a limited amount of Pfizer and Moderna, + they ordered a bunch from the Russian and Chinese ones as well. As for immunity, you should be good for a while, but you won't be immune forever. You should definitely take the vaccine in a few months if you can.

i really hope Xtina release something this year, her music will help us in difficult times

Where Covid originated is irrelevant imo, it's that they have been shady about the testing phases and just giving clear info about the vaccine.

Yeah, I need new music from X too, but we all know how slow she works. + She's such a traditionalist in some ways, I doubt she wants to release new music until she can't perform it properly (for those few performances she'll actually do )

So you didn't have a job while you were doing MA? 

Im thinking of doing both a masters and a job at the same time but idk how possible is that with the schedules  it's either both or job with no masters because if i postpone getting a job for 2 more years I'll belike 25 with no work experience and that is not good

I did an internship in the summer, but apart from that and a few small side-jobs I didn't work, no.

Not you saying you don't want to be 25 with no work xp when that is exactly me rn Well, the internship will count for something, but I don't think being 2 years older would turn employers off that much. Finding work straight out of uni/college is gonna be hard regardless. With uni qualifications you can apply for higher paying jobs tho. It also depends on your field. My BA degree of English Studies gave good general knowledge, but other than that it's basically useless on its own. My MA is more practical and prepares me for an actual profession.

I major in American Studies and minor in Italian. Italian courses are useless practically because they only teach grammar, the history of words. I also do old Italian literature which will help me with nothing in life but at least I'm learning the language 

American Studies is more useful bcuz it covers many fields, from literature to genre studies, theater, movie studies, race theory, media studies, history, politics, and more of that stuff. I have a wider range of job opportunities for a program so vast. If I do decide to follow a MA i think it will be still American Studies because I don't think there's any other program that could help me more. Well I actually didnt search yet

Oh hey, we have the same BA then. Except I decided to take British culture/history instead of American. 

And ugh, I know the struggle of the second foreign lg. Mine is Spanish. I started learning it during college via extra offered courses, I took a language exam and now it's part of my Hungarian-English-Spanish translating/interpreting MA (2 foreign lgs were required to qualify for this degree). But I'm way weaker at it than English, so I don't enjoy practising it as much, which in turn means I don't improve as quickly.

So far Roc Nation seems to be good for her. They produced her remote Mulan performances. They seemed professional.

To be fair Irving was good at getting her money. But that was often at the expense of her career as a musician.

Let's stay positive sis. She gave an interview a while back where she talked about how she needed to let some people go from her life and that she tends to  hold onto people for too long. Hopefully this means she realised she needed a change.
