I'm sure there will soon be a way to help the victims. If I see anything about donations or other avenues we can take to do our part, I'll let you know.

Thank you. I just feel so guilty. I'm perfectly fine over in America and I've got a blessed life compared to many. I feel awful that I'm not like saving them all. I'm just kind of useless over here. 

But I probably shouldn't even say things like that because this isn't about me. 

Probably shouldn't be ranting in a status either. 

No, it's completely understandable. It's not about us, but it's perfectly normal to feel helpless or even guilty for not being able to do anything about it. I do too. But for now, all we can do is be thankful for our own safety and continue to keep the victims in our thoughts until options open up for ways we can take action and help.
